Funeral costs

Funeral, cremation & burial costs in Northern Ireland

Understanding what a funeral costs can feel overwhelming. To help, we have gathered the official cremation and burial fees charged by Northern Ireland’s crematoria and all eleven councils, in one place. These are third-party fees, separate from our own funeral director’s charges — we are always happy to talk you through the full picture.

Our own funeral charges

All funeral directors are legally required to publish a Standardised Price List, so you can plan and compare. Ours sets out the cost of an attended funeral and an unattended (direct) funeral, plus optional products and services. The council and crematorium fees shown below are separate, and paid directly to them.

Choose where the burial or cremation would take place. Children’s burials and cremations are free across Northern Ireland.

These are the council’s burial fees (and, above, the crematorium fees) only. They do not include our funeral director’s services, a coffin, doctors’ fees or a memorial. For a full, personal estimate with no obligation, use our funeral estimate or call us any hour on (028) 9066 7784.

Please note: council and crematorium fees are reviewed most years (usually each April), and some VAT may apply. We keep this page under review, but always confirm the current figure with the council or crematorium before you rely on it. A few schedules above are marked “confirm” where the council had not yet published a 2026/27 update.
