Common questions

What is included in your prices?

Our professional service fee covers caring for your loved one, all the legal and administrative arrangements, and bringing them into our care. You then choose a coffin, any transport and any additional services. Third-party costs such as the cemetery or crematorium fee are added separately, at cost.

What are disbursements (third-party costs)?

These are fees we pay on your behalf to other organisations — the burial or cremation fee set by the council or cemetery, doctors’ certificate fees for a cremation, a minister or celebrant, and flowers. We pass these on to you at cost, with nothing added.

How do I get an exact price?

Use our online guide estimate to build your own indicative figure, or contact us for a confirmed written quotation with no obligation. We are always happy to talk through the options gently and without pressure.

Can I pay for a funeral in instalments?

Yes — please talk to us. We will always try to find an arrangement that works for your family, and we can explain the help that may be available towards funeral costs.

Is a prepaid funeral plan priced differently?

A prepaid plan lets you arrange and pay in advance at today’s prices. Plans are arranged through Plan with Grace and include a plan arrangement fee. Ask us, or see our planning-ahead pages, for full details.
